Who I Am & Where I Practice
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in Oklahoma and licensed to practice virtually in Vermont.
I provide therapy for adults (18+) in:
Edmond, Oklahoma – in-person and virtual
Throughout Oklahoma – virtual
Throughout Vermont – virtual
I work with adult individuals and couples. This page describes my specialty work with bereaved parents.

Who This Is For
I specialize in trauma-informed grief therapy for parents grieving the death of a child at any stage — including miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, or the death of an adult child.
I am particularly well-suited for parents whose grief includes intrusive memories, medical trauma, sudden loss, distressing final moments, or nervous system overwhelm, not just sadness, but the many trauma responses connected to this loss.
If you are seeking general anxiety treatment, obsessive thinking support, or relationship therapy unrelated to the death of a child, another service page will likely be a better fit.

When This Is a Strong Fit
This work is often a strong fit for parents who:
-
Replay medical details, final moments, or “what if” scenarios repeatedly
-
Experience intrusive thoughts, anxiety, or trauma symptoms connected to the death
-
Feel isolated because others expect them to “move on”
-
Identify as highly sensitive or emotionally deep
-
Want their child remembered and spoken about in therapy
-
Are navigating relationship strain after the loss
-
Are seeking trauma-informed grief therapy that may include EMDR, somatic work, or parts work
When This May Not Be the Right Fit
This may not be the best fit if:
-
You are seeking crisis stabilization or are in immediate danger (please contact 988 or local emergency services)
-
You are looking for multiple sessions per week or intensive outpatient care
-
You are under 18
-
You are seeking court-mandated, custody-related, or forensic evaluations
-
You are looking for a structured, step-by-step program for how to grieve
-
You prefer a strictly manualized or highly directive therapy model
-
You are seeking medication management (I do not prescribe medication)
How I Approach Grief & Trauma
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and emotionally attuned.
Depending on your needs, therapy may include:
-
EMDR for trauma processing
-
Somatic approaches to support nervous system regulation
-
Parts work to explore inner conflicts (for example, the part that wants to function and the part that feels frozen in grief)
-
Narrative work to tell and honor your child’s story
I do not rush grief. I also do not assume all pain is “just grief.” When trauma symptoms are present, we address them directly and carefully.

Grief after the death of a child is not a disorder to fix, but an experience to be supported with steadiness and respect.
Losing a child often carries multiple layers of loss. In addition to the death itself, parents may grieve:
-
Future dreams
-
Identity changes
-
Spiritual certainty
-
Supportive community
-
The version of life they expected
When relevant, we gently explore these secondary losses while keeping the death of your child as the central experience.
Sessions are typically weekly and 55 minutes in length.

Training, Experience & Lived Perspective
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with focused experience supporting parents grieving miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and the death of a child at any age or stage of life.

My work integrates trauma-focused modalities (including EMDR) with relational and narrative approaches tailored specifically to bereavement after child loss. I regularly work with highly sensitive, introspective parents who want depth-oriented grief therapy rather than surface-level coping strategies.

In addition to my clinical training, I am also a bereaved parent. I have lived experience with the death of a child, secondary infertility, and trying to conceive after loss. While therapy remains centered on your experience, not mine, this lived perspective informs the depth of understanding I bring to this work.
